The fishing rod looks in almost mint condition. The color of the rod is drab or dark olive or camo green. I have taken photos from left to right to try to help with the description. The metal cylinder is missing the cap.
It appears basically mint. The nameplate or gold leaf decal says True Temper Professional and shows no chipping or wear. The end sticking out of the metal tube without the cap is where the fading and age appears. The green velvet bag shows some use and fade. The cork handle looks new with hardly any signs of use or age.

True Temper Rod 7777 Crack When The
The old rod is starting to show some discoloring spots from age/storage. It in no way affects the sturdiness of the rod or handle. It has what appears to be a stress crack when the rod was made. It has what appears to be a maker's flaw which is the True Temper name plate in the handle area where a reel would mount. Came out of an old store that closed, been stored for years.
If there is an overcharge on postage, I will refund the overcharge amount. More enough weight to cover a sur-charge. There may be a sur-charge on the postage on this item due to length. It has the old sticker on the rod: TRUE TEMPER MERCURY. I am not sure but think this rod was being made in the 1930's or 40's. The old cloth cover appears ok only having some of the original sticker coming off in places due to age, no holes.
Condition: There are some scratches and paint wear from use and age and will be sold as-is. The handle does say that this was Made in Geneva Ohio Patent Pending.
